A good hat earns its place on the coat hook. We choose pieces that cope with drizzle on the school run, wind on the fells and sun at the cricket — wool that sheds a shower, felt that holds its crease, straw that breathes. Five families of headwear, each sold in true head sizes, with scarves and gloves to finish the look.

Wrap a soft tape measure around your head about 1 cm above the ears and across the middle of the forehead — where the hat will actually sit. Keep it snug, not tight. If you land between two sizes, go up: a thin size-reducing strip tightens a hat, nothing loosens one. Note your measurement in the order form and we will keep it on file only for exchanges.

1. Measure 1 cm above the ears

2. Match it to the band size
| Size | cm | UK hat |
|---|---|---|
| S | 55–56 | 6¾ – 6⅞ |
| M | 57–58 | 7 – 7⅛ |
| L | 59–60 | 7¼ – 7⅜ |
| XL | 61–62 | 7½ – 7⅝ |
Wrapping a present, or making a good hat last for decades — a few honest habits that do most of the work.

Tissue, linen ribbon and a handwritten card — free on any order. Add your message at checkout.

A rigid round box with a cord handle: the present, the travel case and the shelf storage in one.

Brush felt anticlockwise with soft horsehair. Lift marks with a dry sponge — never water on a stain.

Rest a felt on its crown or in its box, never flat on the brim. Keep clear of radiators and strong sun.

Shake it off, stuff the crown with tissue and let it dry brim-up at room temperature. Then a light spray.
Tracked delivery across the UK in 2–4 working days. Every hat travels in a rigid box with a tissue-packed crown, so it arrives the shape it left. Free over £75, otherwise £4.95.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you can cancel within 14 days of delivery. Send it back unworn, tags on, in its box — we refund within 14 days of receiving it. Wrong size? We will exchange it.
Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or Klarna. Payment details are entered with and processed by our payment provider — we never see or store your card number.
Not sure between a fedora and a trilby, or which size your dad takes? Write to us with a photo or a measurement and a real person will reply, usually the same working day.
